What is eWallet by Massy Card?

eWallet by Massy Card is a digital wallet app which allows you convenient and secure access to your Massy Card credit account on your mobile device and also make purchases at select partners. With our eWallet, you can view your credit account balance and transactions, check your Massy Points balance, send or receive credit or Massy Points to or from other Massy Card cardholders, and pay bills via SurePay. Our eWallet app is FREE to download from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Is the eWallet app only for Massy Card Credit Card holders?

No, Massy Card Loyalty Card holders can also enjoy using the eWallet app to view their Massy Points balance, transactions activity, and send and receive Massy Points. However, Massy Card loyalty cardholders cannot make purchases nor pay bills via the eWallet.

How can I get the eWallet on my mobile device?

To get the Massy Card eWallet app on your mobile device, just visit the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, search for eWallet by Massy Card and follow the easy steps to download.

Are there any requirements to use the Massy Card eWallet?

Yes. To use the eWallet app, you must have a valid email address assigned to your Massy Card account. You can call the Massy Card Hotline at 418-CARD (2273) to ensure that your email address is current.

In order to use the app, you must register your account with a password that you will be required to enter each time you sign in, as well as a 4-digit PIN code that will be required to complete any transaction.

What account information do I have access to with the eWallet?

The ewallet app gives cardholders access to all their basic account information like, Account Status, Purchase Limit, Massy Points balance, Minimum Payments and Transaction history.

Is the eWallet app safe to use?

Yes. Like other digital wallet apps, our eWallet utilises security features that are built into your mobile device to protect your personal information and payment transactions. As an added safety measure, our eWallet requires you to authenticate your identity with your 4-digit PIN code before any transaction can be processed.

What should I do if my mobile device is lost, stolen or replaced?

f your mobile device becomes lost or stolen, for your protection please contact the Massy Card Hotline at 418-CARD (2273) or info.bb@massycard.com to have eWallet access from that device suspended. If you replace your mobile device, you will need to download the eWallet app and re-register your account on your new device. Note that should your eWallet access be suspended, you can continue to swipe your physical Massy Card without interruption.

Where can I use my eWallet?

You can use your eWallet to make purchases at any of our digital partner locations island-wide. Our eWallet partners can be easily identified by eWallet signage in-store or online.

How do I make a purchase using my eWallet?

To make a purchase at an eWallet partner, you will be required to either enter a unique invoice redeem code or scan a QR code on your eWallet.
The process is simple:
1. On your eWallet main screen, click Make Purchase
2. Next enter the Invoice Redeem Code (provided by the eWallet partner) for your purchase, then click Continue. OR
Click Scan QR Code and position your mobile device to scan the QR code on the eWallet partner’s device. This will only take a few seconds.
3. On the confirmation page that will appear, click Confirm, then enter your PIN code.
The message “Transaction successful” will pop up on your screen. You will also receive an email confirming the details of your transaction.

How soon after a transaction is my account updated on my eWallet?

Your Massy Card account is updated instantly on your eWallet app after you have made any transaction.

What should I do if a payment was made twice in error?

Our eWallet app has a two-step payment confirmation process in place to help you avoid situations like this. However, you can use the View Transaction feature on your eWallet to show proof of the duplicate payment and ask the eWallet partner to refund you.

Can I earn Massy Points using my eWallet?

Yes, when you make a purchase using your eWallet at any of our eWallet partner locations island-wide, you automatically earn 1 Massy Point for every $10 spent. Plus, you can also double-dip to earn additional Massy Points with your eWallet at select local loyalty partners.

Remember, your eWallet app can only be used in Barbados. However, you can swipe your physical Massy Card to earn Massy Points on purchases at all Massy Stores locations in Trinidad, Guyana, St. Vincent and St. Lucia.

What if I don’t have sufficient funds for my purchase?

If there are insufficient funds on your account, you will not be able to complete your transaction. An insufficient funds notification will appear on both the digital partner’s app and your app.

What if I need to return an item purchased using my eWallet?

Returns or refunds of items purchased via the eWallet may vary according to the return and refund policy of each eWallet partner location.

Do I receive any discounts or special offers when I use my eWallet?

Yes, in addition to earning Massy Points on every purchase, our eWallet partners often have exciting seasonal promotions and special offers.

How do I pay a bill with my eWallet?

The eWallet by Massy Card has partnered with SurePay to make bill payments more convenient. You may use your eWallet ‘Pay Bill’ option on the main screen to make payments to select billers and enjoy the convenience of not standing in line.

I am already a SurePay Online customer. Is my existing SurePay Online account linked to my eWallet?

No. Your existing SurePay Online account is not linked to the eWallet app. You will need to enter the account information for each biller to complete your transaction. Remember, when paying with the eWallet you earn 1 Massy Point for every $10.00 spent.

Which bills can I pay with my eWallet?

Below is the current list of billers who accept the eWallet as a method of payment. However, the eWallet will automatically update this list as new billers come on board.

Can I pay my Massy Card account using my eWallet?

No, neither your Massy Card credit account nor Massy Stores hire purchase account can be settled using the eWallet for payment. Please note our above list of approved billers who accept the eWallet as a method of payment.

What should I do if pay a bill twice in error?

Our eWallet app has a two-step payment confirmation process in place to help you avoid situations like this. However, if you accidentally make an overpayment on your bill, you will need to contact SurePay directly at 431-5617 for their guidance.

What if I don’t have sufficient funds to pay my bill?

If there are insufficient funds on your account, you will not be able to complete your transaction. An insufficient funds notification will appear on your eWallet screen.

How do I send credit to someone using my eWallet?

You can easily send credit or Massy Points to another cardholder who is also using the eWallet. However, you must first add that cardholder as a recipient in your eWallet. This step only needs to be done once. The process to add a recipient is simple:
1. From your eWallet main screen, select Send
2. Click Add New
3. Enter a Name and Email Address for your intended recipient, then click Save, followed by OK.
You will receive the prompt “Recipient Beneficiary has been added successfully”. Once you have set up the recipient account, transferring money is quick and easy at any time.
To send credit or Massy Points to a recipient:
1. On your eWallet main screen, click Send
2. Select your intended recipient.
3. Enter the amount you wish to send, then choose whether you are sending Credit or Massy Points, next click CONTINUE.
A summary of your transaction details will appear on your screen for review, once you have confirmed this information …
4. Click CONFIRM.
5. Enter your 4-Digit Pin code to finalise the transaction.
You will receive a confirmation email stating the name of the recipient and amount transferred. The recipient will also receive an email confirming your transfer.

What should I do if I sent credit to the wrong recipient or sent a recipient more credit than I intended to?

Our eWallet app has a two-step transfer confirmation process in place to help you avoid situations like this. However, if you have sent credit or Massy Points to a recipient in error, you will need to contact that recipient directly and make arrangements to have the credit or Massy Points refunded to you.

My credit transfer says it was successful, but the recipient has not received it. What should I do?

Credit or Massy Points transfers via our eWallet app are usually instantaneous. If there is a delay, this may be due to the internet connection of either (or both) the sender and intended recipient.

What if I don’t have sufficient funds to make my purchase?

If there are insufficient funds on your account, you will not be able to complete your transaction. An insufficient funds notification will appear on your eWallet screen.

Can I view my monthly statements using my eWallet?

No, your monthly statements are either sent via email or posted for a minimal fee. However, you can select View Transactions on your main screen to easily view your transaction activity on the app. To sign up to receive your monthly statements electronically via email, please call the Massy Card Hotline 418-CARD (2273).
